Sunday Stills – History

Is it hot outside or what? We’ve had heat in the 100 range all week to include today. Nasty thunder storms pop up too. This week the challenge was history, something older than 60 years old. These pictures are the Mast General Store, Valle Crucis, North Carolina. It was built in 1883. The inside is real neat, old wood floors, a post office, an old coke cooler, an old hound dog and a pot belly stove that has a checker board next to it.

This is the back porch. Looks out over a huge field. Nice place to sit with your honey and enjoy a Coke or Grape Nehi (may favorite with some peanuts).

This is the inside of the store. It is a huge store with a very friendly and helpful staff.
